The common scalants found in sugar mill evaporators include:

•  CaCO3

•  CaSO3

•  CaSO4

•  Silica

•  Ca-Oxalate

CaCO3 inhibitors: Formulations based on Aquacid 105EX with Maxinol10 or
PM 200 are proven effective for such applications.

CaSO3 and CaSO4 Inhibitors are best formulated with Aquacid 105EX or Aquacid 108EX supported by PM 200 or Maxinol 10.

Silica scales can be controlled with PM 200 or Maxinol 2050 based products.

Ca-Oxalate scale control is achieved with Aquacid 110EX, one of the very few oxalate inhibitors.
